Substâncias injetáveis para tratamentos estéticos faciais: uma revisão de literatura
Resumo:
In this current scenario of globalization that we are experiencing, we are impacted by numerous pieces of information, generating a paradigm of perfect beauty, valuing the pursuit of aesthetic procedures and the desire for "perfect beauty" imposed mainly by social media. This approach of "eternal beauty" leads to a certain unease in people and consequently non-acceptance of aging, a natural phenomenon that occurs with all living beings. This behavior results in numerous consequences, from self-esteem problems to disorders related to body image. According to research conducted by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, 20 million cosmetic procedures were performed in 2014, with Brazil ranked third in non-surgical procedures. The methodology used in the article consists of a comprehensive literature review, using scientific databases such as PubMed/MEDLINE, Lilacs, Scielo, and Google Scholar to search for articles in Portuguese, English, and French. 44 relevant articles were selected from 80 initially found, prioritizing those that contributed to the study's objective. The focus is to present the origin, mechanism of action, applicability, and adverse effects of the main injectable substances used in aesthetic procedures: botulinum toxin, fillers, and biostimulators.
Keywords: Fillers, Hyaluronic Acid, Poly-L-Lactic Acid , Biostimulators, , Calcium Hydroxyapatite, Polycaprolactone. Botulinum Toxin.
